Als eine US-Produktionsfirma den Titel für den Trailer der absoluten Kultserie The Vampire Diaries nutzte, entfachte dies einen gigantischen Hype, noch bevor Instagram oder Facebook und andere social media populär wurden. Da der Sender keinen Künstlercredit nannte, tappten die Fans im Dunkeln. Sie ahnten nicht, dass Jool das Stück bereits zehn Jahre zuvor komplett im Alleingang komponiert, performt und produziert hatte, bevor es als reiner B2B-Track ohne kommerziellen Release lizenziert wurde. Im Glauben, es handele sich um eine exklusive Neuproduktion für ihre Lieblingsserie, machten sich die Fans fast ein Jahr lang auf eine weltweite, intensive Suche nach dem Genie hinter „Alive“.

Das neue Meisterwerk: „Anti War Diaries“

Jetzt meldet sich der deutsche Ausnahme-Gitarrist mit einem tiefgründigen Soloalbum zurück: „Anti War Diaries“ ist ein musikalisches Anti-Kriegs-Tagebuch. Die zwölf leidenschaftlichen Liebeserklärungen an das Leben in Frieden lassen nicht nur die Herzen von Gitarren-Enthusiasten höherschlagen. Wie gewohnt hat Jool für dieses Album fast jedes Instrument selbst eingespielt. Auch sämtliche Vocals stammen von dem visionären Indie-Künstler, den Musikerkollegen ehrfürchtig als „einen der letzten echten Rockstars“ bezeichnen.Für den intimen, warmen Sound der Instrumentals greift Jool zu erlesenem Vintage-Equipment: Die Songs wurden unter anderem mit einer 1966er Fender Stratocaster über einen legendären 1962er Fender Deluxe Amp eingespielt. Believing it was an exclusive new production made solely for their favorite show, dedicated fans spent nearly a year on an intense global search to uncover the mastermind behind “Alive.”
